Last night here the temperature bottomed out at -12 F.

Last weekend was spent preparing, the basement was stocked with wood and we moved all the goats and the four remaining turkeys to the new barn.

We also moved the boar back to be with the sow and piglets.  Not only for warmth, but also because we are looking to have another litter around the beginning of May.

Unfortunately, the weather took our youngest goat.  All of the other animals appeared to be fine. My guess is that we used a quarter to  half a cord of wood in the last about 18 hours.
